Douglass Day Transcribe-A-Thon In-Person

Help make Black history more accessible! Join us to transcribe the correspondance of Frederick Douglass.

Douglass Day is a nationwide program that honors the legacy of Frederick Douglass through collective action—transcription—with the goal of increasing the accessibility of Black scholars’ and activists’ written works. Transcribe-a-thon participants will gather in the library to work side by side on transcribing text from digitized archival materials relating to Frederick Douglass himself.

The transcribe-a-thon will be held on Wednesday, February 14, on Raynor Library’s first floor. The transcription station will tentatively be staffed 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m., but you're welcome to drop by anytime that day as your schedule allows.
