Help make African-American history more accessible! Join us to transcribe documents in the African American Perspectives Collection at the Library Of Congress.
Douglass Day is a nationwide program that honors the legacy of Frederick Douglass through collective action—transcription—with the goal of increasing the accessibility of Black scholars’ and activists’ written works. Transcribe-a-thon participants will work side by side on transcribing text from digitized archival materials in the Library of Congress' African American Perspectives Collection.
The transcribe-a-thon will be held on Friday, February 14, on Raynor Library’s first floor. The transcription station will be staffed (tentatively) 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m., but you're welcome to drop by anytime that day as your schedule allows.

Hosted by Raynor Library and the Ott Memorial Writing Center.
