The Digital Scholarship Lab offers three reservable spaces for media editing, collaboration, and learning.
Microsoft Surface Hub
The Surface Hub Group space is an open study area equipped with a 90" touch screen panel and interactive whiteboard located on the lower-level of Raynor in the Digital Scholarship Lab. This space is great for video conferencing, group brainstorming sessions or drafting digital art projects.
Digital Media Editing Room
The editing room is a dedicated reservable space for editing multimedia projects. Equipped with both a PC and Mac, the room includes Final Cut 7, 10, Avid and Adobe CC. The room can comfortably accomodate groups up to 3. Please check-in at the Digital Scholarship Lab Service Desk to have the room unlocked. If you are unfamiliar with the equipment and software, please schedule a media consultation at via this form prior to your Editing Room booking. We cannot guarantee technical support will be available without prior notice.
Virtual Reality Room
The Virtual Reality Room is a dedicated space for virtual reality simulations and experiences. This room contains an Oculus Rift headset with several games and VR apps installed along with room to move about. To get started, reserve the room at your desired time(s), and check-in at the Digital Scholarship Lab Service Desk to have the room unlocked and to recieve the Oculus Rift headset and contollers.
