The Marquette community is invited to help bring Black history to digital life by participating in a February 25 transcribe-a-thon relating to the works of Anna Julia Cooper (1858–1964), a visionary Black feminist leader, educator, intellectual, and activist.
The transcribe-a-thon, which requires no appointment or special experience, will be held February 25, 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Raynor Library's second floor landing. You're welcome to stop for as few as 20 minutes and help convert part of one of Cooper's works into a searchable digital format.
Ott Writing Center, Raynor Memorial Libraries, and the Black Student Council are sponsoring this event in conjunction with the national Douglass Day organization.
